 I will be the first to accept that I was hesitant about using social media for a business purpose when it was newly started. I think that it would never work to sit in front of the computer and just type or push buttons rather than going out and having face-to-face conversations with many people.
And at some point, I was right. Social media can not take the place of having that in-person communication when recruiting people for your business. But over the past some years, social media has become an effective and valuable means to reach out to all new capability prospects, grow your team, and build a flourishing empire.
I have seen several top leaders in the Network Marketing industry rise in the ranks because of their strategies to blend social media power with the 'OLD-SCHOOL' concepts that everyone used to build their business. And so, I have changed my thought. Social media is a most potent tool for your business when you use it appropriately.



Here are some reasons why social media is a valuable and powerful tool.

Expands Your Reach

You are no longer restricted to your town, city, or even country with social media. You can reach out to thousands of people worldwide in an instant. Even entrepreneurs in the smallest towns worldwide can build an empire without spending a lot of their money and time travelling to different places. You can think widely and expand your business to reach areas previously unreachable.

I still believe you need to travel to visit the places where you expand your business to meet with team members face-to-face. But with social media, that reach can be online.

Strengthen Relationships

When you expand your business, you must maintain connections and extraordinary relationships with your team members from different places. As I mentioned above, I believe that you should meet with those team members face-to-face from time to time. However, social media gives you a way to make those relationships stronger and closer.

You need to keep in touch with your team members via social media through messages like motivation or tips on best practices. Of course, this type of interaction can also be quickly done through email and phone calls. But with the different social media tools, you can go a step further. By simply making and liking a post, commenting, or wishing them a happy birthday, you are improving that relationship and making it strong.

Social media gives you the tools to consistently interact with your team and prospects through simple actions that let those people know that you are thinking of them and make an effort or invest in their success and better lifestyle.

Build Your Brand

One of the best benefits of using social media is how you can have the prospects visit you. Your brand can define who you are, what you stand for, your interests, etc., which can attract like-minded people, and automatically your prospect list increases.
